I have a ten sitting around and I'll be putting about 15 rosie minnows in there and I was wondering if an Aquaclear 50 would be too powerful for a 10 gallon tank? Anyone try this? Any major disadvantages in using a big filter on such a small tank? Thanks!

btw: I would like to get an AC50 in particular because I might purchase a 20-29 gallon in the near future, just not right now =)

The only issue using an oversized filter on a small tank is exessive water
current. If your filter does not cause too much turbulence in the small
tank, then your fish should be fine with a large filter. You might want to
turn it off during feeding.

Read the directions. You can adjust the flow by sliding the intake tube one way or the other. It'll help anyway :)
