Recently I went to the Santa Barbara Zoo and spoke with one of the curators about their aquariums. Although some of their tanks had interesting fish, there were several dull uninteresting aquariums. They even used artificial plants in some tanks. The curator explained that although he was impressed with live planted tanks he did not have the time to maintain one. I live 150 miles from Santa Barbara so I can't volunteer enough enough time to help; but I was wondering if anyone knew of an aquarium society interested in setting up and maintaining an aquarium in the Santa Barbara Zoo area. The curator was interested in that idea.
