Attacks of the Florida Sturgeon!

sturgeon are so cool, they look like dinosaurs. definitely one of my favorite fish. my undergraduate advisor bred green sturgeon, and the babies are indescribably cute.

by the way, sturgeon are some of the most ancient fish still in existence. their large size and strange appearance may explain some "lake monster" sightings :D

By the way, I've also heard of those "lake monster" sightings and I think you are right. Most likely those sightings are sturgeons. There was a video of a "sighting" and the back of it looked a lot like a sturgeon, but they never mentioned that of course! :)

My uncle once cought a 5' sturgeon in the Saint Clair River before,and man I tell you it was one of the best tasting fish I ever ate.
