3M Super Glue?

Hey everyone - I'm putting together the pieces for a 2.5 gallon glass tank which is going to fit inside an old Macintosh Classic computer case.
I only have 3M Super Glue right now, and am wondering if that is safe for bonding the pieces. Naturally, I will pick up some aqaurium safe silicone in a couple of days to seal the seams, but can I start with the 3M glue?

Don't know if there's any technical reasons, but I wouldn't. I just wait and use the silicone. BTW, you can use any ol' store bought silicone. Just make sure it says 100% silicone and you shouldn't have any problems. If you feel better using "aquarium safe", by all means go for it...just a suggestion though.

Wait. You will want to squeeze silicone into the seams if possible.

Well, I made a trip to the store and bought some silicone, but I'm all thumbs. This may be a disaster. There's glue everywhere, and I think I may have glued the whole rig to the coffee table and two of my cats. Luckily, inside the Mac Classic case, you won't see any of the edges of the tank, so it can be messy as heck.
By the way, Raithan, this old Mac Classic was the first Mac I worked on at the small newspaper where I am an ad designer - this was way back in 1990. I took it home three or four years ago and gutted it for displaying plastic sunflowers! During that time, I've become an avid fish keeper and have decided to follow Andy Ihnatko's directions to make an Macquarium. I may regret this before it's over, but hey, anytime you can mix fish with Macs, you have to go for it.

i'm a pc/mac user (designer) myself, and the mac definately has its advantages--and drawbacks. just make like zen and find the balance..!
