If you had to choose one, would you choose to own a dog/cat as a pet, or would you choose your current aquarium(s) or a new aquarium?

My interest in this hobby has spiked recently, but I think that I would still choose a new puppy over a new fish any day.

Just curious, and bored, and waiting for paint to dry, so I figured I'd post a fun, nonsense thread. :) :dance2:

puppy....cat...aquarium fish....hmmmm......

aquarium fish :shark:

puppies are fun and great but i love fish. it adds to house and adds life to it. It also builds characterand style...just my 2 cents...lol

The Fish hands down. I hate cats dont get me started on them and while I absolutely love :dog: I would never get little ones again. Mine ruined all my furniture and my carpets and a lot of other stuff. I had to give them up when I move and when I ever get another dog it will be a big short hair one like a dobermin or a great dane.

HEAR HEAR!! I second both of the last 2 opinions. And plus, I don't need to worry so much about my fish when I go out of town for a short period of time. My fish will not bite anyone. My fish are happy to see me. And, my fish will not kill my neighbor's $20,000 racing pigeons. (My declawed siamese has come dreadfully close...)

Would love to get a Mutt, but being single wouldn't want to leave him/her alone when I'm at work (I'm a gunsmith, too many hazards on the floor)

Plus I'm a Scout Leader, leaving him/her alone whilst I'm in the woods or afloat with the lads would also be unfair!

Fishies, I can leave alone for awhile...

cheech - huh?

I had to put down my two cats recently (old age complications) and after that I resigned to only have fish as pets. It's just too heartbreaking to watch a cat or dog pass :( Not to say I don't give a **** if a fish dies but certainly not like a dog or cat. AND I would definitely upgrade from my measly 25g to a beautiful 100g -- not that I really have the room but I'd work something out. Tanks just beautify a home so much!
