in this thread, i will show you the progression of my 20g long.

first, it started as an upgrade from a 10 gallon. i had one red honey gourami, and 6 glowlight tetras, the malaysian driftwood, and a few plants. there is about 1" of sand, and 2.5wpg T12 6000k light.

and here it is as of yesterday, its been 2 weeks since i added new 6000k t8's and one week since adding CO2, and two days since i added ferts. i'm still battling a little BGA but it isn't growing anymore and the old stuff is starting to die.

Very nice RC! Looks real natural....hey, where did the drift wood in some of the pictures go?

its too big and heavy, so i took it out. i still have it though.

you have to plant them right. lots of people break the root ball into large chunks and plant them around, but what you have to do is sepperate each tiny little plant and push them into the ground with tweezers. i have dwarf hairgrass and it grows by runners, as does glosso and many other ground covers. when i got it, i pulled it out of the wool and broke appart each tiny little plant, as there are about 100 of them all clumped together in the pot, and used tweezers to plant them.

Nice!

Were those buenos aires tetras I saw in there? If so, that's probably not a good idea with the gouramies, as buenos aires tetras are such aggressive feeders that I doubt the gourami would get much food. They also get quite nippy after a while too.
