My God! I just got a chance to witness the workings of a Fluval FX5 down at my local LFS. This thing is so badass I nearly got hard watching it work! (hehehe - and I'm not kidding - I need a life I know, but thus I digress).

900GPH, and every 24 hours it does this thing with the priming of the water that is just so cool it's not even funny!

I have 2 Emperor 400's right now providing me with about 800GPH, but with all the trays for various kinds of filtration, and the way it can distribute your CO2 if it get into the intake valve - well - lets just say I will not be using another Biowheel again anytime soon (except on my 15g tanks).

hehe..I might need to get one of those for my 110g tank....and don't be ashamed...a giant filter is a thing of beauty (no, not really...you do need a life...hehe ;)

I HAD 2 emperor 400 with a fluval 404 for my 90 gallon tank and replaced everything with just the FX5 and I couldnt be any happier. My tank is crystal clear and water tests are perfect! You wont be unhappy if you make the switch too

you can get a wheel attachment for magnums that attaches to to output for extra biological filtration

It's not the size of the filter, it's what you do with it ;)

LMAO!!!

I'm sorry guys, but I just never thought I would be so impressed with a piece of equipment for my aquarium as I am now with the FX5. I'm like a kid in the candy story now when I go see it! Just waiting for a couple of more weeks when I get paid again to go get this sucker.

Now I just need to come up with the best media combination for the 3 levels - I cannot wait! My Muskies deserve this and so do I! hehehe!

That's what the small filters say. Once you go 3 big stacks you wont go back

Sly for your 3 levels go filter floss bottom, biologic middle, biologic top.
