help me solve a bet please. if water specifics (pH, hardness...) didn't matter, would a pike cichlid be able to live with fish such as the ones in my signature?

NO!!!!!

pike cichlids can rach up to 3feet long. a peacock will get about 6" max and make an expensive meal for that pike.

pikes are very aggressive perscivores, and eat anything that fits in their mouth.

peacocks can be very lucrative, since they are a more peaceful mouthbrooder 2-3females to one male can make consistent batches of fry. thats what i like about peacocks

i am saying if they were the same size as eachother.

the peacock will grow at about 1-2" per year, the peacock will grow to 6" then 1/2" everyyear at the most. they have completely opposite temperment, so the peacock will always be scared being smaller and all

A malawi pike cichlid(Melanochromis chipokae) only gets to 5-6''.

It can be quite aggressive, but I would put a juvi one in with some bigger africans. I wouldnt put an adult one or a large one in though.
