Unless you REALLY care about raising the fry, I wouldnt even bother. The other fish will eat some, yes, but if yu have enough hiding spots (plants, ornaments, etc) some will live. And there will be more! Crushed flake is fine.
You may already know this, but your plecos will get way too big and messy for your tank size....

unless you have a place to raise them you just just let it be survival of the fitest.

guppies breed like crazy, dont worry about all of them liveing unless you really care alot about them.my guppies i had in one year had soo many babies i had to get rid of over 40 in my 30 gal,i started with one male two females.like thezoo said if you have enough hideing places some will live, then when they mature they will breed and and thier babies will breed until your tank is full.guppies are livebearers and are the easiest fish(other than mollies)to breed, its easy because you dont have to do anything exept feed them. :p:

They should be fine in the net you have, but you may need to buy some liquid fry food. It is high in protein and will help the little guys grow. Good luck.

Well I used to scoop them out and keep them. Not anymore. I'm to the point of just letting nature take its course. If they become snacks.... so be it. There's simply too many of them!! I was (still am) kicking around getting rid of all my guppies except my blues. They sell really well and are so pretty.

I also have babies out the ying-yang! 3 different birthdays, 2 different breeds. Right now, I have them in betta keepers & they're all doing very well. Wc every 2 days. & I feed them powdered flake food. (Marble mortar & pestle work great for crunching the flakes up. Just don't use it for anything else.)
My LFS said if I can keep them separated (breeds) & care for them until they reach adulthood, they would buy them back from me. I also have some "guppy pals" who want to trade, so I've already found homes for alot of them.
I also use a breeder's net in the big tank to hold whichever mama I think is ready to go. I must have an instinct about that cuz 2 or 3 days after I get the mama in there, I've got babies.

I got one of those for fish food also. I 'liberated' it from my Mom. Works great!

What I have done is I took some flake, and put it in a plastic bag, then I crushed it while in the plastic bag, so now i can keep it sealed up. The grains are still nice and small too.
