chinese alge eater eating barbs?

They may not all be evil, but mine was. I have a planted community setting with bleeding heart tetras, harlequin rasboras, red eye tetras, zebra danios, and one dwarf gourami. At first when I got my CAE, he was happy with supplemental feeding, but soon I began losing fish mysteriously overnight with no dead bodies to be found. When I got rid of him, the problem stopped. He was only about 4" long at the time.
that is the size of my two and they seam aggresive. thanks for the info ill give them to someone and hopefuly the problem will stop they ate (if it was them) a pregnat cherry barb.
I doubt the problem will stop. In fact it may get worse. Once they realise they can get nutrition from the slime coat of other fish, they will stop eating algae as much, and keep eating your fish.
