I have a 110 gallon tank with some very large but gentle cichlids, a large black shark and run of the mill pleco about 5” long. The shark and the pleco do little to control algae which grows on the plants and filter hoses. I was wondering if some smaller “algae eaters” would help of if they would get gobbled up? I need some motivated eaters!!!

Thanks all!

True Siamese Alge eaters (SAE) would be the best but they are hard to come buy. If you can find them they eat just about every kind of alge. I would say that the second best is the Flying Fox, they eat most all of the alges that grow in a tank and are a little easier to find. Both of these my become cichlid food though.
