Hello,

I hear some good things about Kribs and I am thinking about getting one for my 20 gallon with some other small fish.

I am well aware that kribs like to pair up, however I am not interested in breeding them at all.

Is it ok to put a single krib in a community tank? Male of female?

If so what would be the best tank mates so that the kribs would not bother them and vice versa? Are rasboras ok, I really like them too.

Thanks so much.

Jim

A single krib should be fine in your tank. The females are more colorful, but the males are still pretty nicely colored, too. Either should work. As for tankmates, since they wouldn't be spawing, anything they can't eat (fish 1.5" large or larger ) should be fine.
