Hello there! I am new to this forum and currently just got back into puffer keeping after many years away
I had 4 puffers for 9 years before a power short blew the heater and sadly killed all my puffers
I will admit that I was in college and did not do a lot of research on them, however they lived happily and without sickness for 9 years in Aquarium Salt (I know...I'm on Instant Ocean now!) and a diet of shrimp pellets daily and snails a few days per week. I want to give my new crew the best possible diet and would like more specific information as to how often, what you rotate, etc. etc.
I plan on feeding snails, frozen shrimp, frozen brine shrimp and....???
They are about 2" long each and I have had them for a day. They are happy and healthy so far and have dined happily on a few snails already. What is a good feeding program to ensure they get everything they need? Please, if possible, be specific as to exactly what you'd recommend. I have done all the reading I can find, but it doesn't tell me how often I should rotate foods or which should be the staple, how often they can have snails etc, etc. Just want to make sure they stay happy and healthy for a long time! Thanks again!
