i think the tank is a little to small. tell your wife if she cares about the fish she would do whats best. give her the guilt trip it should work. from everything i read bala sharks do better in schools. it could also get a couple more inch long i think.

i saved a oscar and a large pleco. i put a add in craigslist. before i would let anyone take them i made them send me pics to prove they had the space to keep them.

I'm near Louisville, but sorry, don't need that monster.
Got rid of three 8" a few months ago and thought they were huge.
Seems they just keep growing and growing and .............. you get the idea I'm sure.

Hey a "local" where are you from? I'm in Madison, IN to be exact. Also to answer a earlier question, they eat anything I put in the tank. Cichlid pellets, beefheart, flakes, algee wafers. Anything really.

Evansville.
Did some work in your area last year at some CVS's. Looks to be a nice area, very senic. Close to things, but not too close.
Guess I'm not that "local" though. L'ville takes about 1.5 hrs.
Close ,but not really local.

Yeah, I say Louisville cause that's the closest major city. I'm about 45 minutes east of there. But you may already know that. It's a nice spot between Indy, Cincy and L'ville.

Oh and the Cascade is working great for me so far. My water is always crystal clear as you can see in this pic.

I must say that at the time I bought it I had no clue what I was buying. The guys at the lfs told me that I should get it unless I wanted to spend $300 on a system. But anyway, so far so good.
