Hey there,

I live in Miami, and met a LFS owner at the Aquarium show on Miami Beach two years ago and checked out his store a couple of times. His shop is on 441, around Hallandale Bach Blvd., not sure of the name because I have not bene there in a while, because it is a long drive for me. I also found two really good ones down here in Miami that are 15 minutes from my house.

But this guy (if he is still there) at 441, is really good, he knew his stuff, and from what I recall, the store was reasonably outfitted.

If you are interested in a drive down to Miami, let me know, I can give you the name of two I go to, they are walking distance from one another, so you can check out both with one drive. Depending on where you are in Ft. Lauderdale, they are probably about 1 hour drive for you, but both are very good and have a lot of stock, and reasonably healthy critters, not to mention great coral selection at both!!

I just got back from a vacation down in the Pompano Beach area. We went into Big Al's and were blown away by all they had. My son just stood in front of the display tanks forever. I'm not quite sure how close it is to you, but here's the website:
