Hello all I just upgraded to a 2x96 coralife lunar power compact 1 10,000k and 1 antic 03. And i was wondering would it be too much if i added 1 150w metal halide in the 14000 k range and removed the 10000k on the PC and added another antic 03 in it's place. Would i be dumping to much light into the tank the halide will be mounted about 15 inches or so above the water. I have to make this decision quickly.

It wouldn't be too much light - it's pretty much impossible to have too much light in a reef tank, however adding halides would be way more light than you need. Roght now you have enough light for pretty much anything you want to put in there (the only thing I would recomend you don't get with that lighting is most anemones, however in general I don't recomend you get nem's regardless of how much light you have.

Sweet so i don't really need any other lighting then. I was wanting to get a clam and some of the more light greedy corals "in time" i was wanting a frogspawn for sure and maby a (bubble aneome <------not required though) my shrooms really perked up under the new lights and my xania look happer too. Do I have enough light for like a open brain from the top of the tank to the sand is about 16 inches I am also wanting a Fireside Acrophara and a kenya tree coral.

Thanks Ron
