Humans should be less susceptible to pollutants than fish because of their larger bodies and different hormone systems. And unlike fish, their bodies are not constantly exposed to the water.
:rolleyes: Sounds like government logic (really too strong a word here) to me. I can close my eyes and picture that meeting right now...

Humans are 50% to 65% water. Animals that occupy the top of a food chain or pyramid are inherently more susceptible to water pollution in the sense that pollutants at the most basic level of the pyramid end up in concetrated fashion at the top (e.g., plankton concentrate toxins in their bodies, small fish eat the plankton and further concentrate the toxins, larger fish eat the smaller fish with a further concentration of toxins, ad absurdum until it hits your dinner plate.).
Just another gov't spinmaster. Gotta love them (not).
