They say that the longer it takes to solve, the smarter you are. It took me a few tries before I understood how to win.

Post your results to let us know how long it takes you.

Don't give any hints for a couple of days.

Good luck.....

You will see the instructions after your click the link.

I figured it out after 2 rolls. you'd have to be blind not to see it after just 3-4 rolls....

I must be extremley dumb! i read the directions and got in on the second roll. I agree that it takes an open mind though, cause at first i was thinking a huge mathmatical equation..lol

no, no, no... you guys misunderstood me. I meant that if it took you more than 3-4 rolls to get what it was, you must be blind.

Well I got it right a couple times but I dont know how. I guess that means I'm smart although it makes me feel dumb that I cant see the problem.

Ah ha! I figured it out....after like 10 minutes of unnecessary adding, subtracting and dividing...

I got the right answer the first try, but I didn't know what I did. It then took me another 3 rolls to figure it out (total time was probably about 2 minutes). I guess I'm smart and dumb all at the same time, sounds like me!

I got it right the first roll. Second roll confirmed it. I'm an artist, not a mathemetician, so it was easy. :)

I like your solution the best. that's REALLY thinking outside the box. What would I do without the internet?

I know it's one of those very simple solutions, but i can't figure it out!! It's driving me nuts!! Can't work, can't think straight!! AAauuughghghghgh!!

I got it after 2 tries but I don't get how it relates to a rose...

Actually, now my 'theory' isn't working. It only worked 5 times. Oh well..

After you realize it, you feel stupid for taking so many rolls to figure it out. I went into it waayy overthinking it. You really need to simplify how you're looking at it.

I guess its all your state of mind when you look at it. It was late wednesday the first time I tried and my brain was kind of fried from the day and I had no idea how to figure it out. The longer I tried the more lost I got. I decided to try again this morning and figured it out on my first role. I feel dumb for not thinking of that the other night.

Oh my...

OK ok, I got it. I was with a friend yesterday and he pointed it out at me.

I almost didn't want it to be the answer... All the calculations I was tryin to figure out, and then.... the answer!!! lol

And Joe, yeah, "auughghghghg" is an understatement.

Took me forever! Then it hit me!! Now that I know it seems so obvious! lol

I know legend says the longer it takes to figure it out the smarter you are. If thats true then how come I fell so stupid. LOL

I get it now, but it really should have been called 'petals around the roses'.. in my opinion.

Haha, I know this game! For one of my Graphic Design classes in college we had an assignment to create/design a visual step-by-step poster explaining the games rules, only it was 'how many polar bears are around the watering hole?'...or some such nonsense. Silly project, but it was fun drawing little polar bears.

Think literal instead of mathamatical... :p:

bbbut mathmatical is literal. can't get any more specific than mathmatical. I never did figure it out...

My wife tried and failed too... she went looking for the solution and that's how I know what it is now.

It is literal in the sense it is what you see that counts, not the assumption that dice with dots=numbers you have to add together as you would in a game...that is not literal, that is a learned notion about dice and what it is used for. Ignore the dice and just look at the dots as objects, as you would a flower's petals or polar bears around a drinking hole, instead of something that equates to a number…what you literally see, not what you assume.

Either way, whether it is literal or figurative, I just don't think in that manner. Thank God for Google.
