Anyone Own African Dwarf Frogs?

We just got 3 african dwarf water frogs and they are doing very well in our smaller tank, one question I have is what do you feed yours or what do you know that they eat, we have frozen bloodworms but for some reason I havent seen them eat them. Someone suggested earthworms (smaller ones) cut up I guess, but that doesnt sound too appealing to do. Just want to make sure they are getting the amount of food they need. The pet store attendant said they should be eating the bloodworms and was kind of surprised when i said they werent eating them.
Anywho I'll stop rambling :joke:

did you wave a chunk infront of their face. the frogs are very blind, and rely on movement trigger a "pounce"

I hand feed mine freeze dried tubifex worms and they also gobble up some of the fish food that makes it to the bottom...if they can find it.

I just hold a small clump of the tubifex worms right in front of thier faces and they snatch it pretty quick. It took them just a bit to realize that my hand was a good thing...lol....but once they did they're not shy at all about scooting over when they can smell dinner.

They must be doing quite well on what I'm giving them...I've had them for about 2.5 years now.

I have two ADFs. They are so fun to watch. I feed mine those frog bites also. I see them eat thos a lot a dust put them right in front of thier faces.

Thanks so much guys, I am going to buy some tubifex worms tomorrow to see how they like it, adn going to start hand feeding them more. Your right! they are so much fun to watch, definitley very interactive little ones :p:

just make sure there frozen or alive, they will reject freeze dried. also bloodworms and brine shrimp are a possibility. careful with brines though, they make an aqful big mess

they love to hunt small ghost shrimps. if they are shy feed when lights are out, toss a little bit of blood worms or live brine shrimps. the best if you feed at night to give them something live, so if you overfeed it will not die and the fish will eat it in the morning.
