New GPS is swimming top to bottom over and over. Is it okay?

It's bored--needs lots of decor to investigate.
Ours used to do this all the time too and was perfectly fine :) For ours though, he was happy when he'd do this and he'd do it until we walked over to the tank, then just stop, midtank, and look at us LOL Ours also used to pout a lot when we'd change the water or add new decor - he used to sulk in the corner all gray-bellied...gotta love those fish!

Pufferpunk,
I have caves on the back wall, terrances, houses, plants, bubble decor, decor. What else should I get Kermit? I guess he needs to be in the gifted fish program. I wanted a fig8 but my sweetheart got Kermit instead, I will be buying a SW setup for Kermit when he is older - will the move be hard on him?
Thanks so much

How big is your tank? A 30g would be ok for a single GSP... and no need to buy a new setup unless you have allotted of other fish in his tank... If its full fresh water you should slowly start switching to Brackish if he is 1.5-2"... You will need a hydrometer and a marine mix such as Instant Ocean. And increase the SG (the saltiness) about .002 per week until you get up to an SG of about 1.015. Once he is about 4" you can start increasing it to full marine with the same process up to 1.022 Instructions on how to mix the salt will be on the bags and you use the hydrometer to measure. Easy as pie.
Just do it slowly and Kermit will never know anything is happening.

Paku, I have him alone in a 55 gal. I will be heading out to buy supplies for him. He has stopped going up and down. He is nipped up as he was in a small tank with bigger GSP. My husband bought him and has committed to going to full marine for him. Should we do anything for the nipped tail? Thanks to all!

Nah... as long as he is fat and happy it will heal :)

Your GSP will love you for giving him a nice big tank to live in!

Pufferpunk,
Kermit is already letting me know that both of his inches are ready for a bigger tank. He like to watch (hunt) my cats. He is the best! I got him some ghost shrimp and he hasn't eaten them yet but he runs them off if they are in his favorite spots. Thanks for the advice. I'm in puffer love!
