I just have a quick question. I purchased a dwarf frog yesterday and today it is missing. Does anyone know if any of the fish I have are frog eaters? He was kinda small, so maybe he looked like fish food! Poor thing!
It could be that he is just hiding, if you have alot of hiding places you might just have to wait a bit and he'll come out (hoping this is the case) I spent about 10 minutes waiting for one of mine to come out of hiding hehe.
I certainly hope he didnt end up being one of your fish's meals :-( Let us know if you find it.
Any way he could have gotten out of the tank? They are known to sqeeze out of small spaces to escape. If he felt threatened he may have gotten out before he got eaten.
I haven't seen any sign of him outside the tank. I'll keep an eye out for him. My rainbowfish are about 1 1/2 inches long. Twig, I know what you mean about them acting like they never get fed. For a while I thought I wasn't feeding them enough, but I don't think that's it. Gluttons! They'd probably eat 24/7 if they could!
I don't *think* any of those fish would have eaten him.. They are pretty good at hiding though.. to give you an idea, i lost one in a Five gallon before... after spending about ten minutes of searching around i finally spotted a tiny part of his foot sticking out from inside a piece of driftwood (there was a little crevice i have no idea how he managed to squeeze himself into).. for a minute i thought that he must be stuck and have drowned, but then when i went to get him out, he was fine... they really like to find dark tight places to hide.. Also sometimes they will float up behind the filter if you have one that hangs on the side..
