I got 2 kuhli loaches about a month ago, I noticed right away that they were a little different in color. One was more yellowish with darker stripes, the other was more pinkish with greyer stripes. I just figured not every fish is the same and didn't think anything else of it. But now the more pinkish kuhli is growing much faster, it has grown an in and a half in the month I've had it. But the other one has only grown a quarter inch if that. Are they a different kind of kuhli or a totally different fish? Or are they the same and just happen to be a little bit different.

I think it's just another color variant of the same species

There are a couple of different colored Kuhlis, all cousins. Sumatra and Myersi.

fballguy, check out this site

It has a section about "Impostors" or fish that are often confused for kuhlis. Too bad they don't include pictures, but you can Google their names.
