i thought is was buying a large (2.5 - 3") female aratus. yellow w/ black horizontal stripes (normal markings). when i added it to the tank I REALIZED THAT THERE ARE SOME DISTINCT DIFFERENCES... sorry for the cap lock
the yellow is washed out looking, ie. not a bright as the other females. the fish is as large as my male, the tail is solid black, not spotted on top half and yellow on bottom. could this be a non-dominant male or some hybrid?
my dominant male has pretty much left it alone...
