Anybody used these:

Penn Plax Metal Stands from Big Al's

According to the printed catalog (which I FINALLY received!) you can fit two tanks on these.

Figured I'd "De-Ghetto" my living room and get rid of the cinder block and board stands.

Comments?

oh, Art, but I liked the ghetto look. It had a nice home-made, personal look to it. Just my two cents :)

I've also got a metal stand, but not the one you have listed. It's also a bit wobbly. Like if my boyfriend walks by it too quickly, the tank shakes a little. The fish don't seem bothered, but the water is sloshed a tad. My bf weighs 240 lbs. It works, though.

I'm actually thinking of replacing the metal stand for a plywood and cinderblock design :p: That way, I could stack tanks like you have going on currently.

I have the stand for the 55 gal from Penn Plax and have two tanks on it. I like it. It is sturdy.

 Save yourself!! Keep the 'blocks' till you can get a 'furniture grade' stand.

If those are the type I've seen in person, the lower aquarium can't have the same footprint. For instance, you can't fit a 20L under a 29- you'd have to use a 15g on the lower shelf.

Thanks for the comments!

Will probaly keep the living room "Ghetto"; only me and my partners wife and kids who see the fishies anyway (and the gerbils...)

Typical bachalor pad; fishies on one wall, stereo and tv on another, sofa on the other....books and magazines scattered everywhere....
