I was planning on getting some shrimp for my cichlids to eat but I have some questions first. What kind is better raw or cook? And is store bought shrimp ok? This isn't to replace there diet just to give them something else to eat every couple of days.

I don't want to feed them live foods, so no answers on raw or cooked shrimp.

I'd try the raw shrimp. Most fish go for those pretty well. I don't know if cooking the shrimp deprives it of nutrients (I tend to think it does), but I think more than anything it's unnecessary work for you. Just defrost some frozen shrimp, peel it, then offer it to your fish whole or cut into smaller pieces.
