I have been wondering...I really like blood red parrots, and thought maybe i can have a alot of them, probably 12 medium sized,1 silver dollar (4 inches type, not the black dotted side dollars)and 1 silver dollar hook;Do you think having a 60 gallon is enough for them?Or is it a bit overcrowded. :dance2:

12 is to much, agreed, why not get a variety of cichlids, besides, alot of people boycott blood parrots because they are a hybrid fish of severums and red devil. this isnt like breeding 2 different species of dog, blood parrots usually have spinal problems, as well as other deformities, including a mouth too small to eat alot of food for a fish that size

they acctually eat just fine, and as they get bigger, they gain most, if not all of the use of their mouths. they are also strong swimmers, so they do not have any problem keeping up with the other fish.
BTW its NeO's tank, and if he wants to put blood parrots in it, then he can. i dont see any problem with them. its not the fish's fault that they're hybrids. i dont see any problem with them.
