Okay, my angel fish has layed eggs for a second time now. this time on the glass. my question is...it has been about 78 hours. still no wigglers. the male is staying right there with the eggs, but i am not sure why they havent turned to wigglers yet?? the more time that passes, the more eggs that turn white...I would just love to see a few of them make it?? also, i just noticed that the females dorsal fin is split all the way down...what causes this and do i need to do something for her....they are a beautiful pair...i would hate for anything to happen to them.

The eggs seem to not have been fertilized if you ask me.
Sorry, but if anyone knows about cichlid breeding, help is appreciated!

Hey, just give your pair time. It is possible one of them is infertile. If you'd like to remove some of the unwhite ones, you'll have to artificially hatch them and I don't know much about angel fish eggs.
As to the split fin, keep their water very clean through lots of water changes - low nitrates, less than 20, preferrably 10. The fin will grow back. I just saw some pics of an angel's split fin and they just kept the water very clean and it was healing up in a few days.

This website^ has everything you need to know. It is recommended you remove the actual eggs an hour after laying, so I think you should remove them now. Follow the instructions given above :)
BTW does anyone know a bit about breeding, I need some help (the cichlids started it!) http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83491

I would not remove wigglers, I doubt they will survive the process. Either pull the eggs soon after (couple hours max) the angels have finished spawning. If you pull them you will need an airstone, methyblu and a heater. When you see wigglers, use carbon to pull the blu. You will also need to set up to hatch bbs as angels need live food inititally.

I have removed them at all stages of the process depending on when and if the particular pair eats the eggs/wigglers. I moved about 200 wigglers yesterday via siphon and they are swimmin' around like no ones business in their 10 gallon today.
To treat the tail, keep the water clean (20% every 3 days IMHO). Right after the water change, dose with Melafix.
