Hi all,

Im getting a 3ftx1ft tank in thenot too far future. I would like the following,
2 Blue Discus
10+ blue emporer or Black neon tetras
1 bumblebee catfish (already have)
1 other fish...

It will be heavily planted yet it will have plenty of swimming space for the discus.
Is all this a good idea or a true recipe for pure disaster?

Thnx in advance Flagfish

that's too small for discus, and the bumblebee will most likely eat the tetras.
try this:
the bumblebee cat
5, maybe 6, congo tetras or similar sized midwater schooling fish
1 gourami, any type 5" or under
any other invert(s) that strike(s) your fancy.

What about just the discus on there own?

Shouldn't you be moving your gouramies in there?

So your saying you'd rather have them suffer and die prematurely?

60 liter tank is way too small for 2 gouramis!

Discus get to big for that tank. The Catfish will eat the tetras. What (sp.) is the Bumblebee Catfish?

that's an asian BB cat. you'd be best off just putting you gouramis and the bumblebee cat in there and finding an unobtrusive single fish as an addition, such as a ram or a SAE.

Why do you ask for advice and then not take it? Lots of experienced folks here are telling you the right thing to do.

'Tis the plague of the BBS. I one had someone tell me that a 5 gallon was plenty big for an oscar if they did a 200% water change every day. Sometimes, you just have to shake your head.
