It shouldn't take more that a few days for them to become free swimming, then the parents will move them to a section of the tank they feel is the safest for the babies. You should start feeding them now, you should try to feed them multiple times per day. There are many liquid fry foods that you can buy, you can also hatch your own brine shrimp for them. Do you feed your Angles frozen food? If not I would, something I found with on of my breeding pares was that they were very reluctant to eat anything that would take them far from there fry, so I fed them blood worms and pre-wet flake food to make sure they were getting proper nutrition.

Oh, just another note. I would use caution when turning off the lights, there are occations that the parents will stress and eat the fry.

Hope this helps some.

You probably should have done some research as soon as the eggs were hatched. They will wriggle for a few days and don't eat untill they start to swim. Feed them baby brine shrimp, there are some other things you could use at the start because the fry are so small. You could use microworms or make some infusoria, basically a little bit of lettuce or something vegetable, ran under a hot tap for a second and put in a jar of tank water. Infusoria can take up to 5-7 days to get going so you have to have it prepared when the eggs are laid. And this stuff only keeps the fry going for a few days, then they will require bbs to keep on.

Good luck with it.
