eaten any foods with odd names?

When I was in the philippines I tried something called a balut, on a drunken dare. It smelled worse than it tasted, and it tasted like hammered ****.

What about lutvisk (spelling) Scandinavian fermented fish. I once heard it described as the ghost of a fish, and totally agree.

I also like glog I yummy Scandinavian concoction.

Ugh, those scandinavian rotten fish dishes scare the crap outta me. There's another one where they eat shark meat that's fermented in its own ammonia for like six months. Puke.

Jon, Mahi mahi isn't actually dolphin (that would be so illegal :) ). It's dolphinfish, a bony fish Coryphaena species.

I was waiting for you yo clear that up Plah I was almost certian that was the case but not 100% so I didnt want to say anything on it. Those fish must travel the world as they catch them out of the atlantic too.

I have eaten goat rogendash (sp) which is pretty much goat in a cream curry sauce with some other stuff. Its an indian dish and not all that bad when its cooked right

oh, didn't even see that part :D

Yeah, some fish are cosmopolitan. Meaning they exist all over the world. Don't know about the life history of dolphinfish, but some really do travel the world over. Great white sharks come to mind. One female was tagged in CA and she swam to Australia and back in a season. She was dubbed "Nicole" after Nicole Kidman :)
