I just got my first aquarium set up (used) a few weeks ago (65-70g acrylic) and have it stocked with some driftwood, fake plants, and 9 Tiger Barbs. My filter is a sump box that was used and looks old. Right now I've got tons of tiny particles floating around my tank, and even water changes arent getting rid of it. I'm new to this so I'm not sure what I need to do. Should I buy a new Sump Box? Also with my setup came a cannister filter but I have no idea where I could fit it. The top of my tank has to rectangles cut out that has my light strip covering it, then one small round hole that is used for my return line, the opening for my overlflow box, and this is all covered by my canopy. I'm not sure if pictures would help with what I'm trying to explain but I'm concerned with all the lint like particles floating around. Do I go for something new? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
