i dont get what food variety is. please tell me if im right is it feeding your fish something today and something else different tomorrow or is it only providing different foods in one meal (e.g. bloodworms with flakes and pellets)

I normally just rotate what I feed my fish everyday..... My goldfish get some flake food one day, and then some little pellets the next, and then some peas the next (they love those) and so on. My betta gets bloodworms, tropical flakes, or little betta balls.... and then my guppies get either these little sinking pellets, or flake food, or some peas. They like it, it gives them something different to go after. So I would say if you combine blood worms and pellets in one meal, only do like bloodworms the next day, and then the day after that just do pellets. Switch it up a little! Good luck!

Yup it is basically switching around what is fed at feeding times. It helps to give the fish the different vitamins & minerals they need that one type of food may offer and another doesn't offer. It also helps to keep the fish from getting to picky about what they eat. I myself have 7 different types of foods I feed my fish.
