if someone tried it. The question is has anyone tried sealing metal ornaments for there fish tank. Meaning, most ornaments for fish tanks seem to be boring. I found something that would look great in it but it is has some parts that are metal. Is there a way to seal it? Maybe dipped into a water repealant or something like that. Just wondering if someone trie :duh:

Basically you would need to make a rubber or plastic seal around the metel areas. This si something that you would most likely find very hard to do. Usally it is done by a machine but tryin to do it by hand usally will end up with not getting a complete seal. Doing something like this would most likely cause you more issues then you will really want.

Just my 2 cents

hard metals, such as steel, should be perfectly safe. the metals you must watch out for the most are lead and copper.

Are u saying it would be ok if it was steel? Meaning nothing needs to be done to it.

Thanks again! I'm going to test it out in a 10 gal and add some feeders to it and see how they do. Hopefully I won't kill them.
