So I bought peat plates today, big mistake. There are fibers absolutely everywhere. If there was the slightest bit of algae on something, the peat fibres have attached themselves to it. So instead of invisible algae atoms, I know have long strands of brown....sick.

My standard free dental-issue toothbrush saved me. Anyone who has a problem with hair algae will benefit too. Just brush plans, hard to reach corners, or anything really with the brush, works like a charm. Now my oto's can actually eat on the plants instead of getting a mouthful of gross peat.
