Hey, I have a blue guppy in qt and I have been treating him with Melafix for over a week and he really is not growing his scales back. Is there something stronger I need to try?
He is eating and very active.

a few missing scales couldve just been from getting ito a fight, and they can take a while to grow back, as do fins.

Should I then stop trying to medicate?

i would, and i would wait until you tank is fully cycled to put him back in though (you did end up haveing to start over right? or was that somebody else... everybody's got guppies and gouramis is so confusing lol)

That was me, I am (it appears) totally re-cycling even with seeded material.
watch your ammonia and add more seeded media. Squeeze your filter sponge right next to the filters intake and you'll keep adding more bacteria
You will more than liekly see nitrite before you ever see ammonia...
increase surface aggitation and do daily waterchanges ... :/ thats pretty sucky.
