What live plants can I get, that my goldfish won't eat. I heard they eat some types of plants. I have 3 black moors and 2 comets in a 55 gals and they are doing great, the only thing is the tank looks plain. Thanks!

there's not much that goldfish won't eat! But you could try Anubias (there are many species) and java fern, possibly also java moss. Anubias is a slow grower with hard, thick leaves so most fish, even plecos, leave them alone. Java fern leaves have a gritty feeling and I would imagine are hard to bite as well as unpalatable. Don't know too much about java moss, as I've never had it myself, but maybe someone could tell you yay or nay. It was just a thought.

i would try some low light plants. add hornwort into that mix also. trail and error is what i am thinking.

Amazon swords might work well. I don't know how they would do in cold water though.
Where can I buy from on the net. Somewhere that is trustworthy. My lfs has plants but they look like crap.

Places I've heard good reviews from other members on this site are aquariumplants.com and aquabotanic.com.
I'd avoid liveaquaria.com (from Drs. Foster and Smith). I love buying products from them, but the plant pack I bought from them were not shipped well and died en route.

Java Moss works (previous poster seemed unsure). A friend of mine has TONS of it in a goldfish tank and they totally leave it alone.
I'd go to some more "plant oriented" internet forums (plantedtank, aquaticplants...) and post there. You will probably be able to get nicer plants for a good price there.

Java moss and Java ferns work excellently...
