oh, yeah! I didn't even notice that the tank is 60 litres, or about 15 gallons! Be careful, Flag :)
thanks for keeping me on track, Bob.

It just a matter of time before your three spot gouramies start killing them.

yes im definetely not adding anything else. Oh btw anyone who said that my blues are going to kill them im afraid that im going to have to disagree for two reasons:
1 The owner of my fish shop has kept fish for 45 years and said they would be fine.
2 I have seen them swimming with each other playfully.
Thanks Flag

SO? If your LFS was so smart and really cared about wether or not there fish live healthily or merely survive or die, they wouldn't have sold you:
A biorb - what fish store owner, who really cares about fish would stock and sell something wich gives such a small living space to the fish, knowing fully well how horrificly many people stock thiere tanks?
Angels for that biorb - we already told you why that's a NO.
Three spot gouramies for that biorb - just like than angels they'll outgrow a 60L (15g) tank.
2 I have seen them swimming with each other playfully.
And you've had them all of what, a few hours? Do you seriously think that proves much when it comes to the long term keeping of the two fish in the same container?
If you want, I can describe your choclate gouramies grosume death, out of my own expierience. AND, BTW, people have had the same/similar death(s) happen to fish that aren't even anabantoids, to give you an idea of how evil tempered these fish can (and usualy will) be.

I keep several species of gourami together in a community tank with no aggression issues, HOWEVER, my tank is very large (180g) planted with tall plants and it has a nice covering of water lettuce.
Keeping multiple gourami's in a 15g will not work. Let us know when you need to restock "due to recent deaths".

Three spot gouramis are not nice fish at all. I have never kept them personally but my mom had a pair once and they killed an angelfish, 2 silver dollars, and 3 cories overnight. That's after living peacefully together for over a month!

Not every fish has the same personality. Even though they may have a reputation for being mean they might not be.

agreed. Just because the owner of the LFS said its okay, every fish is different so yours might be an exception ;)
isnt it hard to keep chocolate gouramis?? theyre little nice but i cant seem to keep the low ph stable enough to house those puppies

Sphaerichthys osphromenoides, the Chocolate Gourami, is a very demanding species, which in my opinion can be recommended only for expert aquariasts. water quality must be maintained as excellent at all times and must be changed often. this is the most difficult Labyrinth fish to care for. It is extremely delicate and is susceptible to parasites, fungus, bacteria, and disease. the Chocolate Gourami is a short-lived fish. in the wild in inhabits shore areas of small, still and slow-moving black water with heavy vegetation in Southeast Asia; western Borneo, Malaysia, and Sumatra.
of 20 to 25 gallons (76-95 L) should be considered minimum for a pair. the tank should be heavily planted with a cover of floating plants and lots of hiding places among wood, rocks, and roots. the substrate should be dark and the lighting should be dim. use a filtration system that creates only slight circulation.
This species does best in peat filtered water with a pH in the low to mid- 6's at a temperature in the mid 80's °. a peaceful, timid fish that is best kept in a pair in a species tank. if combined with other fish, keep with other small, calm, nonaggressive species. a three spot gourami is a terrible tank mate and platy's are far too enthusiastic.
research this species. you'll find that they're very hard to keep alive and yours will be no exception unless you change their environment drastically.
