I'm trying to find some replacement suction cups for my power heads, anyone know where I can find a variety? After awhile these things lose their elastisity and harden up as my are all doing now. I'm sure the oem who sold me the pumps would like to sell me some, but someone out there surely sells these.

I'm not sure where you can get another cup but, you can also supper glue them to your glass and they'll hold better. I know of no suction cups that'll last in s.w. for very long. I thinks it's the ph it just seems to eat the synthetic rubber. Anyway, sorry I couldn't be of more help and nice seeing you!

I never would of thought of using super glue, but they wouldn't come off from the glass. Doing that means you had better put them in the correct spot.

oh, they'll still come off but, they will stay in place a little longer. Yes, you have to put them in the right spot first time or remove them with a razor blade and re-glue.

I have used vegtable oil on the back of a clean suction cup in my freshwater setups without any problems other then they stick to the glass really well. I'm not sure if saltwater and vegtable oil are compatable though.

I use these on my 820 seio's and they are a dream. The magnet is strong and holds the powerheads without any problems and you can reposition them very easily, no more cleaning suction cups...

I have those magnetic mounts on the Maxi-Jets in our reef tank. Other than costing more than the MJs themselves, I have no complaints. They hold very well and no more fiddling with suction cups.
