I have a small mystus cat and recently one of his eyes puffed way up like it was gonna pop so i changed water. i've been adding fw salt to about every other water change and it got alot better. Does anyone have any ideas on what this would occur from? thanxz

that's exactly what I was gonna say: pop-eye. Like GK said, it's usually the result of poor water quality. It can often be alleviated with rigorous water changes to maintain pristine water. This is always the first place to start. There are other causes, like parasites, but bacterial infections from dirty water are most often the culprit. You could try doing an internet search for "pop eye in aquarium fish" and should come to the same conclusion.
