hi, I have 2x56 watt daylight and 2x56 watt actinics with separate reflectors on my 24x48x48 120 gallon tank.

I would like to switch to halides but would rather wait until my bulbs wear out.

how many hours do these t5 bulbs last?

also, what is best recommended halide/actinic/moonlite fixture that sits on open top tank right now?

that light caught my eye before but the model before that was apparently a fire hazard.

how do you like the light?

being pc,is the actinic light good quality?

I have just recently changed from T5's to a halide and like you i thought i would wait untill the bulbs needed changing but i definately would'nt wait a year i waited 8 mths but at a push you could probably stretch to 10mths and i went with the arcadia series 3 if you buy a cheap halide you are going to get cheap bulbs so a word of advice spend that little extra on a decent halide and you should'nt run into problems with algae because of cheap bulbs remember they are cheap for a reason.
