I'm planning on getting a 10 gallon aquarium, and I was wondering about how many small tropical fish I could put in there? Also would you guys post some cool , small, and hardy tropical fish. How many fit in? Thanks

the suggestions are endless, you know. i can't just say one or two species to put in there, because I would be leaving out so many others. my suggestions that you look through some books and your local LFS and see fish you like, then ask us if it'd work in a 10g. and i'm sure you know of plenty already from your time here at AC.... gouramis, bettas, tetras, livebearers.... they are endless, see?

you've asked this question twice before in 2 other threads. like i said in the other ones, you'll need to do some research into what type and species of tropical fish you are interested in. find out how to properly cycle a tank for new inhabitants and not just stuffing as many fish as you can in a 10G.

When I read the question, I cannot help but think about how many neon tetras I'd be able to pour into a 10 gallon tank :D.

Nah, that is how many could live in a 10g, but have you seen a tin of sardines? I bet you could fit a couple hundred neons in a 10g.
