I am thinking that I have an angel fish that has nematodes. The fish has spikey worm-like things protruding from it's anus. Sometimes the protrusions are as long as 1\8 of an inch, to barely protruding at all.
I have tried researching anything like this on the internet, and can only find nematodes listed as being a close match to what I see. The angel fish does not seem to act in a disstressed manner, and it still eats like normal. The only thing that I have seen is that it is not growing at the same rate as it's other angel fish friend.
The info that I found on nematodes was very bland. No real answeres to treatment ar how contagouse it is to my other fish. I really could use some help in making the correct disision on what to do. Such as, should I isolate it in another tank, ignore it and let nature take it's course, etc etc etc.
If anyone has a picture of a fish with nematodes could you post it? That way I can be sure that I'm am correct or wrong. I have been trying to get a good pic, but my digital camera is having a hard time. I'm going to try the 35mm camera today, and should have a pic in a couple of days hopefully.
Sorry for the long post, and thanks for any help you can give me.
