Hello All!
I'm betta crazy, what can I say. Anyway, the more betta experience I have, the more I hear that buying from a breeder or a private pet store is the best way to go.
I've also never owned a half moon, double tail, or crown tail ;)
Well i dont know if i can get around this, but i'm nervous about buying fish online. Call me crazy.
I want all advice though- including internet if you don't mind.
Any breeders in Western Washington? Any good experiences anywhere?
thanks!!!

yup yup, i purchased a CT male from Petsmart, he actually was quite a beaut'. the Petsmart closest to my house carries what seems to be nice looking stock.
You can often find very nice bettas at the lfs......if you go the day they are stocking the shelves with them. I have seen and bought a good number of beauties from places like PetCo and PetSmart...though I seem to see more of the nicer ones at PetCo.
A few ex......

interesting, i'll have to check more. sometimes i see CTs but usually it's these poor half dead betta with no water :(. I read that going to private pet shops may be better, but i just can't seem to find any.
i'm actually look to buy a halfmoon now from someone off aquaria central, i've never recieved fish through mail though...hmmm

Theres a place in seattle that sells all kinds of betta's and if they don't have one like you want they'll order one for you, they're a little pricey but have quality fish. I think they're like $25
