Hey all, I'm new to the forums and in need of some help.
I have two goldfish (black more and fantail) in a 10 gallon tank along with one or two plants and recently the tank has been very cloudy and hard to clear up to normal "crystal clear" standards.
It all started a month ago when I had to move from FL to NY for school. The water was perfect beforehand, though once I moved my fish got stressed from a long car ride in the passenger seat (I tried to make it as little of a stressor as possible) and since then, the water seems harder to keep clean. It's always slightly brown in color and murky.
I bought a new, stronger filter since golfish are dirty, have been doing partial water changes (20%) every 3-4 days and cleaning the bottom with a suction tube. I'm not overfeeding them since I watch to make sure they eat all their food. I'm not sure what to do nor what's causing this.
It's been a month, so I'm sure all the bacteria have had a chance to regrow since the move.
Any help would be appreciated. My poor goldfish don't seem too happy in the gross water.
