whats the quickest way i can get rid of the algea in my tank can you guys let me know thanks!

To really answer your question, we'd have to know how many fish you have in what size tank. That can be a big part of your algae problem. Assuming you have a resonable stocking level, you can try the following:

Short term, without chemicals, you could try blacking out the tank for 4 days. Do a water change before blacking it out, do one after and most types of algae should be killed off. If you have plants, they'll be fine. They can store energy, most algae can't.

After you black out your tank, you'll want to watch how much you feed your fish. They only need food once every couple of days. You'll also want to keep up on regular water changes and limit the amount of light you have in the tank. If you have plants, you really only need between 8 and 10 hours of light for most plants. If you don't have plants, you should only have the lights on when you're in the room looking at the fish.
