this is my favorite baby(and the biggest) out of the spawn,he/she is about 2 1/2 mo's old,he/she is in (i'll call it a him) five gal with another baby that has to stay in a net or this one will attack it.he needs a name,something cute,he's already got such a personality,whenever i come to the tank he is right there to say hi.i had to take himaway from the other babies because i checked in them one morning and he had another smaller baby in his mouth.

I move this to Member Fish Photo section for you. He's very cute. Sorry, I'm no good with names. Most of my fishies are nameless :(

How come he's got the stripes, is he just scared? The only time I've seen bettas with those fright bars is when they're young like that.
 
all baby bettas have those stripes,they use them for blending in with the plants in the wild.he is an adorable baby.
 
awesome, it looks so healthy, I hope my guppy fry look like that when they get older. My first brood is less than two weeks old and are already a lot bigger than they were. ummm...it has red coloring so something red like...not good with names, but good with ideas :)

cute names!:p:did i mention he's a betta?although he looks alot like a female betta,i looked really close today and say its a CT YAY!in the pics of him by the net he is trying to get to the other baby.

oh he/she is so cute! I read online that by 4 mo. the male fins are pretty developed. you should know the sex soon.

i agree though, it looks like a female

ahh, I did not know that :) Having never bred fish, and have no interest in doing so. But good to know!

same here on the breeding, but even I knew that, O mighty marine biologist person.... :rolleyes: ;) :p:
