Hello, all. I have 6 Red Minor Tetras (been in tank 2 wks...) and introduced 6 Lemon tetras(last friday...) Params are all good (ammo 0..Nitrites 0...Nitrates 12.5 mg/l)Well late yesterday I noticed The bigger Lemon tetras are really chasing each other, like all over the tank. And when one is in an area, and the other comes over,they...how can I put it...."flash" off of each other so to speak. This was'nt happening when I first got them. Also the red minors are doing similar things.2 of them have ripped dorcal fins. All still eat,vigorously....unforunately they now school alot more loosely...none are flashing, nor are any showing signs of sickness.Maybe I'm overreacting,I know chasing among tetras is normal...and it's not just one out each school getting picked on.There are no other fish in the tank, just a blue mystery snail. The only thing I have done recently is a WC of 25%.Temp is between 77-79 degrees.

sounds pretty normal. i would give it another month or so to let them sort out the pecking order then the aggression should really slow down. fish normally hide when they are stressed out or something is wrong so your situation doesnt sound bad, they are just working out whos the dominant male in the school.

Thanx for the quik reply risk! I'll monitor the situation and see what happens!!
