Gouramis and Bettas

I have a female betta and a few gouramis and they all act fine together. But for my new tank I put some red gouramis in a 10gal, and was wondering if a male betta would be okayin there? Also is 76f to low a temp. for them?

they are going to battle it out from the start. males of any gourami species do not mix, even if they are different species. the only acception i can think of off of the top of my head is the sparking gourami.
are all of your gouamis male? if so in the next few weeks they are going to realize that there are other males in their territory and the could start to get violent.

How do you tell on red gouramis and blues? Sorry I can't think of the technical name.
These are my first gouramis, and are very enjoyable, if a bit challenging.
