hey all, i have an ro/di filter and I left the filter sitting on my counter for a while and now I have algea growing on the cartridges. I test the water with my TDS and it still reads very low, like less than 4 ppm, and the water pressure is still around 45psi, however I'm not sure if I should just trash all the cartridges and buy new ones or if it's ok to continue to use these. they are all less than a year old. what do you think?

thanks, gW

anyone have any thoughts on what I should do, or if the current cartridges can be cleaned?

Thanks, I just want to find out if I can save myself from buying all new ones if I can.

If your TDS is still low, sounds like the cartridge is fine.

Just check the TDS often for the next week or two.

so far TDS seems fine. It certainly doesn't look pretty though. Do you think taking the cartridges out and trying to clean them under some warm water could damage them at all?

Thanks,
Guy
