Hello,

i used to have 2 female platys but 1 obviously decided to change sex! So the dominant male is hogging the chick and giving the poor guy a hard time, he is just hovering next to the heater fins clamped but he eats a little bit. So my Question is; Should i buy another female for the remaining platy? By the way my fry COULD be a female.

Thanks Flag.

All fry seem to look like females till they mature. I would see if you can either remove the male that is getting picked on and add a female or just remove the male without getting a female. Wait to see what your fry turn out to be.

Flagfish, I was just looking at the signature and I have to say it looks like a crazy mix. :hang:

Why is your tank a chaotic crazy mixture?!?! :rant2: Do you really need to ask that??? First lets start of by doing a little math. A 60 liter tank equals out to about what, 15 gallons?!? And you have 4 gouramis? 2 of which are 3 spot? I know nothing about chocolate gouramis but you have no business keeping 2 three spots in a 15g tank!! That is just crazy. Do you know how big the three spot gets? ~6 inches when fully grown, not to mention the aggresion of having 4 gouramis in such a tiny tank. :mad2:

If I were you I would get rid of all the gouramis but one, keep the platties and bump up your school of rasboras.
